There is something Changing me A little bit every day Some days more Usually it's removing Rarely adding Except weight It's a string Of small losses Until some day There will be nothing left Of me Every day I wake up Someone new Someone less I have to make up With the new me That's life Every step Brings me closer To zero The perfect number

I know no fear I was born Under the sign Of the dragon The river runs deep Underground  Unseen unsuspected But powerful  I'm ready to fight  I may not win  I will take my chance I will not step back I will accept I have seen enough  I care less about the outcome Than about the attempt

In all those lines There must be a word A word that is worth Spelling reading thinking saying A word that is a beginning Or an ending A reward Or a gift A reason Or a goal A place that you have reached Where you can rest An achievement  But if there is no such word Not yet The only thing you can do Is to add more lines To the story Of your life

I crossed the bridge The bridge where we kissed A long time ago That's the one bridge Where all lovers kiss I can spot the place Our place on the bridge I can remember The taste of your lips The smell of your hair The light in your eyes The promise we made But that bridge The bridge where we kissed The bridge doesn't care

She was not given The power to love life She did not relish The colors of the world The taste of hope The music of time She did not redeem Herself In the pure moonlight magic In the soothing of love  The wind the waves the rain Were her painful foes She found no friend Human or beast Her body Even her thoughts Were weights too heavy for her I watched her fight against pain I watched her lose  She never found joy Except maybe In the ending
